d) Drills are staged in responding to a night-time disaster, long-term evacuation, and drills in responding to disasters occurring simultaneously over a wide area.
Drills in gathering, communication and publication of information by the anti-disaster organizations concerned
- Drill in rapid and accurate gathering, communication and publication of disaster information by the anti-disaster organizations concerned, with consideration given to the prevention of confusion in the information.
- Drill in gathering, communication and publication of information between organizations concerned, or between organizations and residents.
- Drill in inspections to prevent secondary disaster (e.g.., collapse of buildings, landslides due to aftershocks or rain, damage to public institutions, etc.) evacuation guidance and publication of information to ensure public safety.
- Drill in telegraph communication between members of the Regional Emergency Radio Communication Association thorough radio communication networks (e.g.., the Central Disaster Prevention Radio Communication Network) or computer networks.
Drill in emergency measures by anti-disaster organizations
In accordance with the Intensified Plan for Earthquake Disaster Prevention, the Operational Plan for Disaster Prevention and Local Plans for Disaster Prevention, anti-disaster organizations stage drills making full use of the mobility afforded by aeroplanes, ships, cars and other equipment, and secures cooperation between the organizations concerned as follows.
- Drill in stationing and operation of staff, tools and materials prepared for disaster by each anti-disaster organization.
- Practical drill by National Disaster Response Teams and Interprefecture Emergency Rescue Units.
- Drill in extinguishing fires occurring simultaneously over a wide area, prevention of the spread of fife, rescue and first-aid for the injured, and their conveyance to hospital.
